RE: Working on the windshield

Any ideas about what Bon-Ami and buffing would do to/for a sand pitted windshield? lou

RE: 6 volt charging

Yes you can, and probably should, charge them in a 12v configuration. The answer to the "which battery charger" is best question is like asking whose wife is prettest. Everyone has their favorite. The bigger (higher amp) models will give you a faster recovery charge. Your smart charger will do fine if you are satisfied with the charge rate. jmho, lou

RE: Would you consider buying a new Class A today?

I can't answer the question because I have never bought, and do-not intend to ever buy, a NEW Class-A. I purchased my Bounder used and intend to keep using it for the forseeable future. I can assure you that the original owner spent more money in depreciation costs than I ever will in fuel. jmho, lou

RE: Old Ford F53 exhaust manifolds worth anything?

I scrapped mine. "97 bounder/F53/360". Seems a shame but I couldn't imagine a market for them. lou BTW - how's the performance with the Banks?

RE: 12 Volt Battery Direct Connection question

You will need to use a fused connection in either case.

RE: house battery not charging ????

What am I missing here? How did/do either of you responders even know if Budd has an inverter? I would say there is something wrong with the CONverter/battery charger. jmho. lou Inverter/Converter.....potato/potahto.....it gets him to the right place to begin to look What a crock!! If you don't know what you are talking about, then why respond? Excuse me Mr Redi-Volt Dave, at least you are consistent. The quality of BOTH your answers was the same. Keep up the good work.

RE: Gas limits on Creit cards

You can always run the card through a second time. If you suspect that it will take more than two times then you can tell the operator and they will set the machine for a fill up and you get your receipt from inside.

RE: Clothes on the floor

I've used two methods in the past. First was to alternate the hanger hook for each piece of clothing. Hang one facing back and the next facing front. The friction between items will hold them in place as they bounce. Second (the method I like best) is to attach a bungee cord along the top of the closet rod. Use cup hooks or eyelet screws at the proper distance for the chosen cord. With the hanger under the cord (between the cord and rod) the cloths won't bounce off. Hope this helps, lou

RE: Inverter on 2005 Bounder 35E

Did the TV ever work while driving? Are you sure you have an inverter? We need more info than you have provided. The lights and fans you mentioned are all 12volts and would work without an inverter.

RE: Microsoft Automatic Update Problems

I have a home/business network of four computers (on 24/7) that are all configured for automatic updates and have NEVER had the problem(s) you are blaming on MS. I use both IE and Firefox with NO problems. MS has faults, but being STUPID is not one of them. JMHO

RE: Blue Ridge Parkway

Stay to the center of the road through the short tunnels and you will be fine. I see 40+ footers do it all the time.

RE: Has anyone used this stuff in your batteries..

I wouldn't use it until/unless all else failed to improve the battery performance. A battery charger with a good de-sulfating and equalization cycle is the best cure. If the battery has been mistreated and the electrolyte is weak or diluted, then you may get some benefit from this snake oil treatment. JMHO
